Nae Ungureanu has died, the legend of Craiova Maxima. The former international was 69 years old.

After the disappointment of being eliminated from the Europa League, the supporters of Universitatea Craiova received terrible news. Former footballer Nicolae Ungureanu, who made history with the "white-blue" team, has died.

"Sad news this morning: Nicolae Ungureanu, the legendary footballer of Craiova Maxima, has left us.

Nicolae Ungureanu joined Universitatea Craiova in 1977 and represented the club's colors for a decade. He played in all matches during the 1979-1980 and 1980-1981 seasons, managing to win two Romanian championship titles. He won 3 Romanian Cups during all the years spent at Știința. A name that will remain forever in the white-blue history.
