The organizers of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games have announced that they will put one million tickets on sale at the price of 28 dollars, the cheapest available. LA28 President, Casey Wasserman, emphasized the importance of accessibility and inclusion for all participants. A symbolic ceremony to light the flame recently took place at the Coliseum, where approximately 300 former Olympic and Paralympic athletes gathered. Ticket sales will begin with a registration phase, followed by a lottery in April. Organized in the context of criticism regarding ticket prices for other events, such as the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, LA28 also aims to inspire young people through affordable prices. Approximately one third of the tickets will cost under 100 dollars.
