LeBron James has exercised his player option and will remain with the Lakers for another season at a salary of €45.7m.

Basketball player LeBron James has signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, activating his player option to remain with the team for an additional season. The 40-year-old will earn €45.7 million, equivalent to more than $3.7 million a month. Back practicing after an injury, LeBron has not announced whether the 2025-2026 season will be his last in his career.
