The Japanese Professional Boxing Association and the Japanese Boxing Commission have decided to implement urine tests to assess boxers' dehydration and restrict rapid weight loss. The measures were taken following the deaths of boxers Shigetoshi Kotari and Hiromasa Urakawa, both 28, who underwent surgery after injuries in the ring. Officials aim to prevent such tragedies in the future, emphasizing the impact of dehydration on boxers' health.
