The demolition work of the old Dinamo stadium began on January 20, and Ion Țiriac criticized the location of the new arena in the city center, considering that it would have been more suitable on the outskirts of Bucharest. The Romanian billionaire emphasized that a 25,000-seat stadium requires thousands of parking spaces, which is not feasible in the central area. Țiriac mentioned that, although he is pleased that funds have been found for construction, blocking traffic in the city for matches is not a viable solution. The new stadium will include modern facilities, but Țiriac's criticisms raise questions about the viability of the project in the current urban context. The Sector 2 City Hall will finance the 'Dinamo Multifunctional Arena' with 25 million euros, which will also include the Dinamo Sports Park.
