Holger Rune, Danish tennis player and world number 11, suffered a rupture of his left Achilles tendon during the semifinals of the tournament in Stockholm. After the surgery, which went well, Rune shared reassuring news on his Instagram account, thanking fans for their support. He announced that he will begin a long recovery period, estimated to be between six months and a year, during which he will be absent from the tennis courts. Rune promised to keep his fans updated on his recovery progress.
