Footballer Keita was involved in a serious accident on Gherghitei Street in Sector 2, where he hit a 68-year-old woman at the crosswalk, then left the scene without notifying the police or seeking medical help. After a month of hospitalization, the woman passed away, which led to a change in the legal classification of the act. Initially, Keita was accused of causing serious bodily harm and leaving the scene of the accident, but now prosecutors are charging him with manslaughter, risking up to 7 years in prison.

The footballer was identified by the officers of the Traffic Brigade and, although he is under judicial control, he can continue to play football. Keita tried to avoid journalists upon arrival accompanied by his lawyer, and his last match took place last Sunday in Craiova.
