The driver who hit two pedestrians on a sidewalk in Fălticeni is currently being investigated for attempted murder.

The serious accident in Fălticeni, in which four people were injured, led to a change in the legal framing of the guilty driver, from 'bodily harm through negligence' to 'attempted murder'. The 38-year-old man who caused the accident remains at large, while the severely injured firefighter is in critical condition.

The victims reported suspicions of cover-up in the case, with a witness stating that he was contacted and advised not to make a fuss, suggesting that the driver might have influence. The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the steering wheel and ended up on the sidewalk, hitting a firefighter and his wife. The firefighter was airlifted to Floreasca Hospital in Bucharest, while his wife is hospitalized with serious injuries. The investigation continues under the supervision of prosecutors from the Suceava Tribunal.
