Kader Keita, a football player registered with FC Rapid Bucharest, appeared before the magistrates after a traffic accident in which he hit a woman at a pedestrian crossing on March 3, in Sector 2 of Bucharest. The victim, a woman approximately 67 years old, was transported to the hospital with multiple injuries. After the accident, Keita left the scene without notifying the authorities and went to training. Although the tests for alcohol and drugs were negative, prosecutors requested preventive detention for 30 days, citing the seriousness of the act. The Sector 2 Court initially rejected the arrest request, ordering judicial control for 60 days, during which Keita must report periodically to the police and cannot leave the country. The decision is not final, and the prosecutors have appealed it. Victor Angelescu, the minority shareholder of Rapid, mentioned that the player will be absent from the field due to his affected mental state.
