England has qualified for the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup, defeating Norway 2-1 after extra time at Miami Stadium.

Norway opened the scoring through Andreas Schjelderup in the 36th minute, but Jude Bellingham equalized in extra time with a goal scored in the 45+2 minute. The match was balanced, with England having difficulties in creating clear chances. Norway had a goal disallowed by VAR in the second half. In extra time, Bellingham scored again in the 93rd minute, securing victory for his team.

England will play in the semifinals against Argentina on July 15. This is England's first semifinal in the World Cup since 2018, and Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane become the first players in history to score 6 goals in the same edition of the competition. Jordan Pickford has become the most capped English goalkeeper in World Cup history, with 18 matches.
