England will have a first in their final two Nations League group-stage matches, against Spain and Croatia: brothers Jude and Jobe Bellingham will be teammates in the senior national team. Jobe, a Borussia Dortmund midfielder, has received his first call-up to the senior side, while Jude is already one of the key players in the team managed by Thomas Tuchel.
Jobe, 22, has so far represented England at youth and under-21 level. He moved to Borussia Dortmund from Sunderland in the summer of 2025 and became a regular starter for the German club, both in the league and in the Champions League. Jude, 23, already has 60 caps and has played at two World Cups.
The two brothers came through the academy at Birmingham City, but have never been teammates at professional level. Jude left for Dortmund in 2020, while Jobe joined the German club five years later.
The Bellingham family has another reason to celebrate: their father, Mark, has been called up to England’s team for players over 50. A former striker who scored more than 700 goals in amateur football, Mark will play against Ireland. England have so far had 21 pairs of brothers in the national team, with Bobby and Jackie Charlton, as well as Gary and Phil Neville, among the best known.
