Emma Răducanu was eliminated in the first round of the WTA tournament in Dubai, suffering her third consecutive defeat on the WTA circuit. The Brit lost the match against player Antonia Ruzic after a duel lasting over two hours, with a score of 1-6, 7-5, 2-6.

This elimination comes after Răducanu was previously defeated by Sorana Cîrstea in the final of the Transylvania Open, and later also lost in the first round in Doha. The Dubai Tennis Championships, held between February 15 and 21, is a WTA 1000 category event, with total prizes of $4,088,211. The singles champion from last year is Mirra Andreeva.
