Elisabeta Lipă asks Ilie Bolojan to support athletes more: "For a year and seven months, no one has been awarded."

Elisabeta Lipă, president of the National Sports Complex "Elisabeta Lipă", has made an appeal to the Prime Minister of Romania, Ilie Bolojan, to support Romanian athletes, considering that the National Agency for Sports has not awarded any prizes to athletes from 2025 until now.

Lipă emphasized that Romania's budget will not be affected by the prizes awarded to athletes and highlighted the importance of recognizing their merits, especially in the context of the upcoming Olympic Games. She requested that support be extended to all athletes, not just rowers, pointing out that no sports branch has been awarded recently.

The former champion mentioned Romania's success at the European Rowing Championships, where the country won six gold medals, thus highlighting the need for recognition and support for Romanian athletes.
