U Cluj lost Edvinas Gertmonas: the Lithuanian goalkeeper, presented in Switzerland

Edvinas Gertmonas, the 29-year-old Lithuanian goalkeeper, has decided not to extend his contract with Universitatea Cluj and has transferred to Servette FC, the runner-up of last season in Switzerland. Gertmonas was officially presented by the Swiss club, where he will wear the number 1 jersey, signing a contract until 2029. Although he was contacted by Universitatea Craiova, Gertmonas chose to join the team in Geneva.

The president of U Cluj, Radu Constantea, commented on Gertmonas's departure, emphasizing that the decision not to start him in the last league match was a tactical one, not related to negotiations with other clubs. Gertmonas was an important player for U Cluj, saving the team in many matches, but now he will continue his career in the Swiss league.
