Delia Reit, the first Romanian athlete at the 2026 Winter Olympics

Delia Reit is the first Romanian athlete to participate in this year's edition of the Winter Olympic Games, according to the schedule announced by the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR). Reit will compete in the cross-country skiing event, 10 km + 10 km skiathlon, at the Tesero Cross Country Skiing Stadium, starting at 14:00.

Also on the first day of the competition, Eduard Crăciun and Valentin Crețu will take part in the men's singles luge event, scheduled at the Cortina Sliding Centre, where heats 1 and 2 will take place starting at 18:00. Additionally, Daniela Vasilica Toth and Delia Folea will compete in the women's individual normal hill ski jumping event, at the Predazzo Ski Jumping Stadium, starting at 19:45.

These events mark the beginning of Romania's participation in the Winter Olympic Games.
