Daniel Oprița, the coach of the Steaua team, stated that he has submitted his resignation due to the difficult situation the club is in. He mentioned that he does not have a sufficient number of players for training, having only 12 seniors, of which 6-7 are injured.
Oprița emphasized that the reduced budget has led to the departure of the best players and that, currently, the team is facing a manpower crisis. The coach requested the signing of 4-5 players to avoid relegation.
Additionally, Oprița mentioned that he was forced to call up juniors to complete the squad, which complicates the team's preparation. Steaua's next match is scheduled against Csikszereda in the Romanian Cup. Oprița requested that his resignation be accepted, stating that he feels stressed and overwhelmed by the situation.
