Daniel Graovac met with president Victor Angelescu and shook hands with Rapid. The central defender, who has previously played in Romania for Astra Giurgiu and CFR Cluj, will have a contract similar to the one he had with the red and blue team. The two parties have agreed on a contract until the summer of 2027, with an option for the club to extend for another year. The Bosnian is expected to earn 10,000 euros per month in Giulești.
Gigi Becali was asked about the fact that Rapid took advantage of Daniel Graovac's separation from FCSB and signed him as a free agent. The owner of FCSB believes that the Giulești team made a wrong move and did not refrain from being ironic.
"Yes, they did well to take him. He is a valuable, versatile player, plays in two positions (he starts to laugh). I don't want to say more about players, as it's not nice. But you understand. He wasn't from FCSB, that's all. He wasn't for us. It's very good that Rapid took him," Gigi Becali said on Digi Sport.
In this transfer window, Rapid also brought in Mohammed Kamara, a lateral midfielder signed as a free agent after parting ways with CFR Cluj, Vladan Bubanja, a defensive midfielder loaned with an option to buy from Orenburg, and Jason Kodor, a forward purchased from Lecce.
