Laurențiu Reghecampf, FCSB's new coach after Marius Baciu's departure

Gigi Becali announced on Sunday the appointment of Laurențiu Reghecampf as FCSB coach, following the end of his collaboration with Marius Baciu. The decision was made after the Bucharest team suffered a 5-0 defeat away to Universitatea Craiova.

Marius Baciu had been appointed FCSB coach in May. To remain in charge, he had to obtain at least four points in the matches against Petrolul and Universitatea Craiova. FCSB earned just one point from the two matches.

Becali and Baciu had a discussion on Sunday, following which they decided to end their collaboration. Subsequently, the owner of FCSB announced that he had reached an agreement with Laurențiu Reghecampf to take over the team.

Becali stated that he had also taken into consideration the supporters' reaction, as they continued to support the players after the match in Craiova. Laurențiu Reghecampf thus returns to FCSB, a team he had previously coached.
