Cristo Fernandez, the 35-year-old Mexican actor who played the role of Dani Rojas in the popular Apple TV series "Ted Lasso," has fulfilled his dream of becoming a professional footballer.
On Sunday, he made his debut for the American team El Paso Locomotive, coming on as a substitute in the 79th minute of the USL Cup group match against New Mexico United. Fernandez signed with Locomotive in May, after a two-month trial.
Despite his debut, the team was defeated 2-0, and Fernandez received a yellow card in the 87th minute for a foul on the opposing goalkeeper, Kris Shakes. This experience marks a new stage in his career, combining his passion for football with success in acting.
