Number six seed Andrey Rublev was defeated in four sets by Francisco Comesana in the first round of Wimbledon.

Rublev, ranked No. 6 on the ATP rankings, surprisingly lost to Comesana, ranked No. 122 on the ATP, 4-6, 7-5, 2-6, (5)6-7. The match lasted almost three hours and Comesana will play Adam Walton in the second round.
