Adrian Bumbescu, former great player of Steaua Bucharest, was urgently hospitalized at the Military Hospital in Bucharest after he reported feeling unwell and called an ambulance to the Ghencea stadium. Initially, doctors suspected a stroke (AVC), but recent tests suggest that his neurological condition is better and the stroke is not confirmed. Bumbescu, known as "The Minister of Defense," previously had health issues, including a tumor removed from a leg in 2024.

His career was marked by success, having an essential role in the Steaua team that won the European Champions Cup in 1986. Throughout his career, he won six championship titles and six Romanian Cups, having 15 caps for the national team. His health condition remains under observation, and investigations continue.
