The executive director of the Analytical Center "Economica", Marin Gospodarenco, emphasizes the vulnerability of the economy of the Republic of Moldova, estimating a growth of only 2.4% for the next year. The expert believes that the budget projections are insufficient and recommends policies that generate higher revenues. Gospodarenco states that the budget should be doubled or tripled to meet the needs of the country.

He warns about the consequences of borrowing, which increases public debt, and emphasizes the need to create internal added value through investments. The budget for 2026 provides for revenues of 79.6 billion lei and expenditures of 100.5 billion lei, generating a deficit of 20.9 billion lei. Marin Gospodarenco suggests that improving tax and customs services could help increase the public budget.
