Storms and torrential rains have caused significant damage to the energy infrastructure in the Republic of Moldova, leaving numerous localities without electricity. The Ministry of Energy has reported that the 330 kV Bălți-Dnestrovsk high voltage line has been severely affected, with approximately ten poles downed on a section located 15 kilometers from Bălți. Moldelectrica teams are already on the ground to assess the damages and establish the necessary technical solutions.
The estimated time for restoring electricity exceeds seven days, which is why the Ministry has requested the involvement of other specialized companies. Additionally, the rains and strong winds have caused tree falls in the Telenești, Rîșcani, Ocnița, and Glodeni districts, temporarily blocking traffic on national roads.
