The president of the PCRM, Vladimir Voronin, stated that the party will detach itself from the 'Patriotic' bloc, but will continue collaboration with other left-wing formations. The PCRM will create a parliamentary faction dedicated to legislative issues and interaction with voters. The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) reacted, mentioning that it will contest the election results, and decisions regarding the factions will be made at the first meeting of Parliament, depending on the validation of the elections.
