Varujan Pambuccian, leader of the parliamentary group representing national minorities, announced on Wednesday in Parliament that each member of the group would decide individually how to vote on the investiture of the Government led by Siegfried Mureșan.

The statement was made during the parliamentary debates on granting a vote of confidence to the new Cabinet. Pambuccian said the group would not have a mandatory voting position and that each lawmaker would vote based on their own assessment of the situation.

In his speech, the lawmaker said he had intended to present a collage made up of phrases by Ion Luca Caragiale, which he said “always works” in Parliament. However, he abandoned the idea, considering the one minute allotted for his intervention too short for such a moment.

“All I can do is announce that our group will vote freely, meaning that each colleague will vote as they consider appropriate,” Varujan Pambuccian said. The lawmaker added that he would prepare the collage for a future intervention in plenary.
