Between August 13 and 25, 2025, R. Moldova reported 3 outbreaks of African swine fever in the regions of Hîncești, Edineț, and Ungheni, as well as 2 outbreaks of rabies. ANSA urges pig owners to notify the authorities in case of illness and to avoid feeding pigs with freshly harvested grains that may be contaminated. Additionally, ANSA warns against purchasing animals without veterinary health certificates and pork products from outside the country. The authority offers rewards of 50 euros for reports regarding wild boar carcasses.
