The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) has announced the intensification of monitoring and control actions in the period leading up to the Easter Holidays, recommending consumers to purchase food only from authorized sources.

The President of ANSVSA, Alexandru Bociu, emphasized the importance of food safety and warned about the risks of consuming products from unauthorized spaces. The actions aim to verify sanitary norms in markets, slaughterhouses, and processing units. ANSVSA reiterates that animals intended for slaughter must come from authorized farms, and food products, including meat, eggs, and dairy, must be accompanied by sanitary certificates. Consumers are advised to avoid purchases from uncontrolled platforms to prevent foodborne illnesses. In case of non-compliance with the norms, ANSVSA will take immediate measures, including the suspension of activities of non-compliant units.
