In Moldova, police intervened to stop unauthorized protests initiated by followers of oligarch Ilan Shor, who had promised money for participation. 69 people were detained for hooliganism, alcohol consumption and blocking traffic. The authorities stressed that paid protests are illegal and police confiscated tents and other goods. Tickets have also been issued for misdemeanors and citizens are being warned not to participate in such demonstrations.
