President Maia Sandu will discuss with Italian officials about bilateral relations and support for Moldova, and at the Vatican, she will have an audience with Pope Leo XIV.

During her visit to Rome, Maia Sandu will have meetings with the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, to discuss deepening bilateral relations, Italy's support for Moldova's European path, and expanding economic cooperation. She will also meet with the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa. At the Holy See, Sandu will be received by Pope Leo XIV, where they will address topics such as promoting peace and Christian values.
