Cristian Tudor Popescu warns that the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, scheduled for next month, may change the direction of the country, with the risk that pro pro pro-Russian parties may gain a majority. If that happens, Maia Sandu could be isolated and Romania would have a direct border with Russia. Popescu emphasizes that Romania must act diplomatically to support the pro-European forces in Moldova, warning that non-involvement could have serious consequences for national security. He also criticizes Ilan Shor's campaign, which could negatively influence the outcome of the elections.
