Gabriel Zetea, vice president of PSD and president of the Maramureș County Council, stated that PNL suffers from 'hurt pride' after their leader, Ilie Bolojan, was dismissed. In an intervention on Digi24, Zetea emphasized that President Nicușor Dan should explain to the liberals that their electoral priorities should not compromise Romania's pro-European future. He mentioned that PNL's decision not to return to negotiations is normal, but he pointed out that this behavior has been characteristic of the party in recent years. Zetea criticized PNL for prioritizing its own interests to the detriment of national ones, mentioning that PSD chose to govern alongside PNL, thus sacrificing a potential electoral score. He ruled out the possibility of a pro-European minority government, emphasizing that a government must have a clear majority in Parliament.
