USR asks ANI to verify Daniel Băluță’s wealth, private flights, and possible conflicts of interest

On Monday, USR Sector 4 filed a complaint with the National Integrity Agency (ANI), requesting an investigation into the assets of Mayor Daniel Băluță, as well as possible conflicts of interest and incompatibility situations.

The action is based on information and investigations published in the public domain concerning assets and benefits allegedly received by the mayor or his family, as well as alleged links with individuals and companies operating in Sector 4. USR is asking for the source of funding for a private flight taken by Daniel Băluță and his family in August 2024, associated with Toyo Aviation, to be investigated.

The party is also requesting clarification of the commercial and legal relations between the Toyo group and the sanitation operator in Sector 4, in order to determine whether they were connected to any benefits allegedly granted to the mayor or his family.

Another issue cited in the complaint concerns August 19, 2024, when the mayor’s brother allegedly bought a plot of land from developer Cria General Construct, while Daniel Băluță allegedly initiated a decision concerning a Detailed Urban Plan for a project by the same company.

USR is also calling for an investigation into the assets of the extended family, including the purchase by the mayor’s parents of eight apartments, estimated at approximately €480,000, and the villa where the mayor lives, which is registered in his brother’s name. The allegations will be examined by ANI.
