USR President Dominic Fritz accuses PSD and AUR of blocking the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry committee concerning private flights to Mykonos and Nice, as well as trips made on planes paid for by the Nordis company. The statements were made on Wednesday, October 7, following a protest by USR parliamentarians in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies.
“USR deputies called for the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry committee and asked that each deputy vote and publicly take responsibility for their choice, rather than hide behind all kinds of parliamentary tricks,” Dominic Fritz said on Facebook.
Fritz claims that PSD and parliamentarians from other parties are using parliamentary procedures to avoid a public vote on the committee. The USR leader says that the party will renew the request at every plenary session and calls for clarification regarding the financing of the flights, the meetings held during the trips, and any interests that may have been represented.
According to Dominic Fritz, on July 8, a private plane departed from Băneasa Airport for Mykonos, carrying PSD politicians, a judge of the Constitutional Court, and businesspeople. He links this episode to other private flights that he claims were paid for by people associated with the Nordis company.
USR also called for sanctions against PSD deputy Natalia Intotero, accusing her of failing to put the request concerning the inquiry committee to a vote. To date, the accusations and questions raised by USR are the subject of a political dispute, and the committee has not been established.
