The Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, excluded on Monday in an intervention at Digi24 a USR negotiation with PSD for the formation of a new Government, emphasizing that social democrats must take responsibility for the current crisis. At the same time, she stated that USR would return to power only after PSD acknowledges that it has no solutions for Romania.
Buzoianu criticized "the hypocrisy of the parties that say they won't lend a hand, but do lend a hand in public moments" and called for clarifications regarding PSD and AUR's plans for the country.
"Once we establish that what happened in Parliament was a boundless hypocrisy, then those who created this crisis must come forward and say whether they have a solution or not. It is very clear today that they have no solution. Then we will have to think, the rest of the responsible parties, the reformist movement that is being created these months, whether there is an option for us to govern in order to push reforms forward. These are the steps, but we cannot skip some steps," Buzoianu stated about a possible return of USR to power.
Regarding a possible minority Government formed by PSD, Buzoianu rejected this idea, considering that it would not bring improvements. She also mentioned that there is no concrete proposal for a technocrat prime minister from PSD.
