Interim Prime Minister Tanczos Barna announced that UDMR has not decided whether it will support the government that designated Prime Minister Eugen Tomac is trying to form. Barna emphasized that an executive without solid political support is difficult to maintain in the long term. UDMR has requested clarifications regarding the government program and the political structure that Tomac intends to build. Additionally, the UDMR leader excluded any collaboration with AUR, stating that they will not support a government that depends on this formation.

Barna warned that the instability of governments without a solid political base affects citizens' trust and Romania's credibility internationally. In the coming days, UDMR will analyze possible support after clarifying the government formula.

"It is hard to maintain a government in the long term that does not have strong political support. Indeed, the most unstable are the governments that do not have a prime minister, I don't know, a party president, for example, but the opposite has been demonstrated many times. We have seen governments led by political prime ministers that have not managed to last more than six months, eight months. Unfortunately, we make changes far too often and this costs us in every way," said the interim Minister of Agriculture.
