The Young People's Party (POT) is in a deep crisis following the disastrous result obtained in the elections for the Capital's mayor, where candidate George Burcea received only 0.2%. Internal dissatisfaction has led to calls for the resignation of the leader of the deputies, Răzvan Chiriță, accused of lack of involvement. President Ana Maria Gavrilă is also criticized for the improper management of the party's funds, including high expenses for tax consulting, without transparency.
In the wake of these tensions, a wave of resignations is expected, with eight deputies potentially leaving the formation, which could lead to the dissolution of the POT group both in the Chamber of Deputies and in the Senate. The party, established just six months ago, thus risks disappearing completely.
