Diana Buzoianu, the Minister of the Environment, stated that the former director of Romsilva, Teodor Țigan, received a retirement bonus of 100,000 euros illegally and that the salary of 770,000 lei earned during the period in which he benefited from a pension should be recovered. She emphasized that, according to the legislation, the employment contract of a pensioner should automatically cease, which did not happen in this case. The report from the Control Body also revealed serious financial issues at the Arad Forestry Directorate, including fictitious investments, such as a paid but non-existent forest road. Buzoianu requested an analysis of the activity of the heads of the forestry districts to assess whether they can continue their mandates, considering the irregularities found. Additionally, the report will be sent to the Prosecutor's Office to evaluate possible crimes.
