The internal conflict is intensifying between Veștea's supporters and those of Ilie Bolojan, the party leader, who contests the appointment of the prime minister without consulting the leadership.

Adrian Veștea stated that he wants a government supported by the entire PNL and rejected the idea of an internal rupture, emphasizing the importance of political stability for the continuation of reforms.
