The Government of Romania will approve during today's meeting an emergency ordinance project for the implementation of the EU Regulation regarding the "Action for the Security of Europe" (SAFE), aimed at strengthening the European defense industry.

The Prime Minister's Chancellery will coordinate negotiations with the European Commission for accessing SAFE funds and will form an inter-institutional working group for its implementation. Additionally, the Government will approve an emergency ordinance that modifies regulatory acts in the forestry sector, aiming for more responsible management of the national forest fund by evaluating the performance of directors and heads of forestry departments. Among other projects, the approval of new sites for the Natura 2000 ecological network, the recognition of the MGH Foundation as being of public utility, the recall of some consuls general, and the approval of humanitarian aid for the Vlădeasa meteorological station are included. Alongside these, a cooperation program in education and research with Palestine for the period 2025-2030 will be negotiated.
