The electoral campaign for the partial local elections on December 7 began on November 22 at 00:00 and will end on December 6 at 07:00. The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) has requested competitors to contribute to a fair and transparent campaign, specifying the prohibited actions. The use of electoral propaganda materials, such as posters, brochures, and online advertising, is allowed, but all materials must be labeled according to European regulations. AEP emphasizes that the use of discriminatory messages, vehicles inscribed with campaign slogans, and the organization of advertising events is prohibited. The elections will take place in several municipalities from different counties, including for the position of general mayor of the Capital, where 18 candidacies have been validated, some of which have been rejected. Candidate Virgil Alexandru Zidaru withdrew in favor of Ancă Alexandrescu, supported by AUR. The printing of ballots is scheduled for December 2.
