The Chamber of Deputies has adopted the Law on prosumers, which allows Romanians who produce green energy to compensate for the surplus at other properties, facilitating more efficient consumption and reducing bills. Romania currently has about 250,000 prosumers, with an installed capacity of nearly 3,000 MW, equivalent to four reactors at Cernavodă, although solar production remains intermittent.
