Tensions in PNL: Veștea and Thuma demand elections in branches and attack the leadership

During a tense meeting of the PNL, the president of PNL Brașov, Adrian Veștea, and the president of PNL Ilfov, Hubert Thuma, requested the organization of elections in the county branches, challenging the leadership of Ilie Bolojan.

Thuma stated that since the extraordinary congress on July 12, 2025, there would have been enough time to organize elections, emphasizing that the current leadership relies on extensions of interim mandates. Veștea added that it is essential to identify the true leaders of PNL at the county level, arguing that elections are necessary to avoid a "witch hunt."

Thuma criticized the way PNL is led, accusing it of exclusions and decisions made without consulting the members. This dispute reflects the internal tensions within the party and the need for transparency and democracy in the decision-making process.
