Siegfried Mureșan says he does not use the SPP services: “I have two hands, two legs”

Designated Prime Minister Siegfried Mureșan arrived alone, without SPP protection and without flashing lights, at a radio broadcast. He got out of his car and went on air without an escort, surprising the presenters.

Asked by the host whether he receives protection and whether he travels to official meetings without flashing lights, Mureșan replied that he does not have SPP agents protecting him and that he prefers to drive his own car.

“I have two hands, two legs; I’ve always liked driving,” said the designated prime minister. He added that, although he is entitled to security and protection from the Protection and Guard Service, this is not mandatory.

“I would even go by bicycle, I would even go on foot,” Mureșan said, explaining that he feels safe when traveling to meetings such as the one at the radio station without protection personnel.

Shortly after the broadcast, Siegfried Mureșan was seen at the wheel of his car, which bears his initials, as he entered the PNL headquarters on Modrogan.
