President Nicușor Dan declared that Romania will provide logistical support to Ukraine, without sending troops to the neighboring state. Following the meeting of Western leaders in Paris, Dan explained that Romania will participate in the training of Ukrainian soldiers and will collaborate with other European countries in joint disarmament programs. The commitments will be approved by the Romanian Parliament to ensure transparency.
Romania's assistance will focus on equipping the Ukrainian Army and on a rapid response mechanism, coordinated by leading nations. Romania, together with Turkey and Bulgaria, will contribute to the demining of the Black Sea. Additionally, Romania will operationalize a logistics hub in Câmpia Turzii, which will facilitate military operations, but specific details will remain confidential.
