Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan signed a financing contract of 500 million euros with the EIB for the A1 Sibiu–Pitești highway

At the Victoria Palace, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan received the delegation of the European Investment Bank, signing a contract of 500 million euros for the construction of the A1 Sibiu–Pitești highway. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of cooperation with the EIB for co-financing national projects, especially in the energy sector, where Romania aims to become a regional hub. The EIB expressed its willingness to support other areas as well, including the defense industry, through technical assistance and the identification of additional instruments.
