Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has announced that Romania will send on Tuesday to the European Commission proposals for the SAFE program, which aims to finance defense and civilian military infrastructure projects. The package will include initiatives to develop the national defense industry and transport corridors. Romania will access a 40-year EU defense loan. The SAFE program, part of the "ReArm Europe" plan, has a budget of €150bn for defence investments and supports joint procurement of equipment between member states.
