The difference between those who voted YES and those who said NO - at one point about 10 percent - narrowed significantly as the votes of Moldovans in the diaspora were taken into account. At 5.20am, the gap had reached 0.2 percentage points or 2,700 votes, when 97.48% of polling stations had been counted. After 69.04 percent of the minutes had been processed, the situation was very different: YES - 44.74 percent; NO - 55.26 percent.
