The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, has sent President Nicușor Dan the proposals for the appointment to the leadership positions within the Public Ministry.

The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, has sent to President Nicușor Dan the proposals for the appointment to the leadership positions within the Public Ministry. Cristina Chiriac is the proposal for the position of Attorney General of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice, while Ioan-Viorel Cerbu has been proposed for Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA).

Additionally, Codrin-Horațiu Miron is nominated for the leadership of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). The Ministry of Justice emphasized that these proposals were submitted in accordance with Article 148 paragraphs (1),(3) of Law no. 303/2022 regarding the status of judges and prosecutors, thus highlighting the respect for legal procedures in the appointment process of the leaders of justice institutions.
