The interim president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, said that the party's congress will take place in the fall, with the priority of clarifying the party's doctrinal identity. He emphasized that PSD must avoid aligning itself strictly with European socialist parties, while maintaining the Romanian specificity. Grindeanu acknowledged that the poor results of the recent elections require changes in the party's approach and left open the possibility of his candidacy for the PSD presidency.
