The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, announced that his party agrees to reduce the number of parliamentarians to 300, but emphasizes that it also wants the implementation of the uninominal vote. In a statement at the Palace of Parliament, Grindeanu mentioned that, although the bill passed the Senate through tacit approval, the PSD believes that it was not drafted correctly, referring to the specifics of USR. He added that discussions on this topic have taken place within the governing coalition, but no final decision has been reached. Grindeanu reminded that there is a referendum from 15 years ago that is still waiting to be implemented, thus reaffirming the PSD's commitment to reducing the number of parliamentarians.
